FAQ

  • I have never made any jewellery before, which workshop is suitable for me?
    Skill Levels are specified in the workshop details. Most workshops are suitable for beginners and those with some experience but a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. If you are unsure please get in touch.
  • What do I need to bring to my workshop?
    For safety reasons, please wear closed toed shoes and something to tie your hair back with if it's long. All materials and equipment will be provided. Please also bring any reading or prescription glasses you may have.
  • How many people are there in each workshop?
    Most of the workshops you can book on-line (silversmithing type workshops eg stacking rings, silver clay etc) allow six people for lots of support, as and when needed. Wax carving workshops can accomodate a larger number of people. Please get in touch to discuss your party requirements.
  • Are materials included in the price?
    Most workshops include all the materials required to make the specific projects. There are some freestlye sessions on offer where learners bring their own materials and occassionaly materials are available for additional purposes. The workshop / course outline will specify if this is the case.
  • Where do workshops take place?
    Most workshops are held at Jewellery Workshops at 29 High Street, Alcester B49 5AE. Entrance Jewellery Workshops is accessible via the Fire Exit to the side of the building. Please press the RING doorbell on arrival at the workshop
  • Is parking available?
    Free Parking is available at Bleachfield Street Car Park B49 5BA and also at Bulls Head Yard Car Park B49 5DL
  • When do I need to pay for the course?
    All payment should be made in full upon booking.
  • What refreshments are included?
    Refreshments are included and include tea, coffee and biscuits. For full day workshops we will break for an hour for lunch (generally between 12.30 and 1.30). There are lots of lovely independant coffee shops and pubs in Alcester to eat at.
  • What is accessibility like?
    Jewellery Workshops is up quite a steep flight of stairs unfortunately. If you're making a group booking please specify any accessibility requirements.
  • Can I get a refund?
    Please inform Kate as soon as possible by email if you'd like to cancel your place. Unfortunately refunds are not available unless the place can be filled after cancellation. Every effort will be made to refill your place.
  • Do you offer workshops for groups?
    Yes! Birthday parties, hen dos, corporate events and lots more. More details can be found under Group Bookings or alternatively just get in touch and Kate will be happy to arrange something for you.
  • What happens if you cancel a workshop?
    In the unlikely event Kate cancels a workshop, you will receive a full refund or the option to re-book onto another workshop.
  • Do you do gift vouchers?
    Gift vouchers are available to purchase. Bookings for gift vouchers must be made prior to attending a workshop by emailing kate@jewelleryworkshops.co.uk. Gift vouchers must be produced on arrival at the workshop.
