Already completed the beginners course or equivalent and want to learn a load more skills? This is for you! We'll work on various projects to cram in as many techniques as possible and you'll leave with some great pieces you can be proud of. The course dates and times are as follows: Wednesday 6th November 10am - 2pm Wednesday 13th November 10am - 2pm Wednesday 20th November 10am - 2pm Wednesday 27th November 10am - 2pm Wednesday 4th December 10am - 2pm Wedneday 11th December 10am - 2pm Who is it for? Previous experience of the skills covered in the beginners course are essential. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 16s with accompanying adult. What will I learn? How to recycle metal using fire bricks, crucibles and ingot moulds. A detailed insight into the wax casting process using Mitsuro Wax models that we'll make, cast and finish off in the workshop. Prong setting for cabochons and rose cuts Soldering multiple joins using heat control Techniques in experimenting with water casting Thick multi shaped bezels construction How to set stones with a hammer and punch What's included All the equipment and materials you need are provided including the silver, the stones, expert tuition and detailed handouts. Tea / Coffee and biscuits provided. We break for an hour for lunch between 12.30 and 1.30 each day. What shall I bring? Reading glasses if you use them and if you have magnifying glasses such as optivisors please bring these also.
