Already completed the beginners course or equivalent and want to learn a load more skills? This is for you! We'll work on various projects to cram in as many techniques as possible and you'll leave with some great pieces you can be proud of. Who is it for? Previous experience of the skills covered in the beginners course is essential. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 16s with accompanying adult. What will I learn? How to recycle metal using fire bricks, crucibles and ingot moulds. Experimenting with Water casting and Mitsuro wax as well as demonstration of the full wax casting process. Prong setting for cabochons and rose cuts Soldering multiple joins using heat control Thick multi shaped bezels construction Setting with a hammer and punch What's included All the equipment and materials you need are provided. Tea / Coffee and biscuits provided. We break for an hour for lunch between 12.30 and 1.30 each day. What shall I bring? Reading glasses if you use them and if you have magnifying glasses please bring these also. Closed toed shoes are advisable and please tie long hair back and avoid loose flappy clothes.
