Making your own wedding rings is such a unique experience and we want to make sure your rings and the workshop day exceed your expectations. Come along to a one hour design consultation and find out just what it involves. Try on a range of samples, discuss different making techniques and discover if this process is right for you. We'll look at your design ideas, sizing and metal options as well as any extras you would like to include such as stone setting or engraving. Your ring making journey following this initial consultation is mapped out below. Making your wedding rings Wedding ring workshop days take place in the fully equipped jewellery school in Alcester where you will have exclusive access and sole guidance from Kate. We'll work through the process slowly to make sure everything is just perfect and we'll even indulge in some cake. Thoughout the day photos will be taken to remind you of your experience if you wish. Timings 3-4 months timeframe is ideal to schedule consultation, workshop day, hallmarking and to add any engraving or stone setting you might want. This is dependant on what you'd like, your timings and bookings already in place. Please get in touch even if you don't have quite that much time, I try and be as flexible as possible. The initial consultation will take approximately an hour. Workshop days last from 3 - 5 hours but this is approximate. What is most important is that you are happy with the quality and finish of your ring. Wedding ring workshops take place on mid-week days only and generally start at 10am. Costs Workshop day charges apply and include full use of equipment and private tuition. Materials charges apply and vary depending on which metal you choose, plus the shape, design, size, width and weight of your rings. Other costs include hallmarking, postage costs, any engraving or stone setting requested. Following your initial consultation you will be given a guide price for your design. The exact price will be determined when materials are purchased or casting is complete due to the fluctuations in metal cost. It is also possible to re-use sentimental gold should you wish to, please note there is still a charge for this process.
