Whether you're new to wax working or have some experience, this two day masterclass will allow you to develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. We'll cover a multitude of techniques and delve deep into all things wax. This course is ideal for all types of jewellery designers as wax working allows you to work in both organic and structured styles and anywhere inbetween. You will be encouraged to utilise carving techniques, wax build up methods and stone setting with bezels / claws. Three of your project designs will then be cast into sterling silver and returned by post. Who is it for? Beginners onwards. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 16s with accompanying adult. What will I learn? Model construction including design measurement layout methods, detailed carving techniques, wax build up method, cast in place stone working, creating bezels and claws, working with wax findings and finishing techniques. What's included Included in the course is the use of all the equipment and materials you need, your masterpieces cast in sterling silver (three project pieces, weight restrictions apply), cubic zirconia gemstones, plus tea, coffee and biscuits. Additional options include finishing, hallmarking, gold upgrade, additional waxes, stone setting etc What shall I bring? Reading glasses if you use them and magnifying goggles if you have them. Closed toed shoes are advised and please tie long hair back and avoid loose flappy clothes.
