About the workshop

Become a jewellery designer for the day and carve your very own ring design on this fun half day workshop!

Using a range of tools and equipment you will be shown how to work with speciality jeweller's wax to create your own unique ring. It will then be taken away and cast into solid silver, hand finished in my workshop and returned to you 3-4 weeks later by post.

Who is it for?

Beginners onwards. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 16s with accompanying adult.

What will I learn?

You'll learn how to size your ring using a wax ring mandrel and how to shape and work with speciality jeweller's wax using files, sandpaper and shaping tools. You'll also learn how to give your ring different surface finishes using various tools or by melting the wax.

What's included

Included in the day is the use of all the equipment and materials you need, your ring masterpiece cast and professionally finished in solid silver, plus tea, coffee and cake. Addtional options include hallmarking, wide ring upgrades or carving and casting a second ring.

What shall I bring?

Reading glasses if you use them, it's very good to be able to see! Also to keep you safe it's best to wear closed toed shoes, tie long hair back and avoid loose flappy clothes :)
