About the workshop

If you've ever fancied having a go at silversmithing this 2 hour workshop is the perfect place to start. You'll get to have a go at loads of techniques - sawing, soldering, hammering and polishing, plus you get to take your ring home with you on the day.

Who is it for?

Beginners onwards. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 16s with accompanying adult.

What will I learn?

First we'll determine your ring size, then use a jeweller's saw to cut your silver to the right length. Next you'll get to turn on the torch and solder your ring together, then form it, add some texture with a hammer and give it a good polish. 

What's included

We provide all the equipment and materials you will need including the sterling silver to make your ring. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included in your taster session.

What shall I bring?

Reading glasses if you use them, it's very good to be able to see! Also to keep you safe it's best to wear closed toed shoes, tie long hair back and avoid loose flappy clothes :)
