Term dates: Tuesdays 10 - 1pm weekly for 12 weeks, beginning on Tues 14th Jan - Tues 8th April (Half term break - 18th Feb) This Term’s Projects: Cold Enamel, Hinges, Cuttlefish Casting Our term-time jewellery classes offer a supportive and inspiring environment where learners can explore their creativity, gain new skills, and grow their passion for jewellery making. Each term will see three project ideas introduced with different skill levels in mind. Choose to develop these ideas a little further, incorporate them to the max, or go your own way! Guidance will be there for you regardless. Designed with mixed abilities in mind, these classes are perfect for all learners, regardless of their experience. Key Features: 1. Project Breakdown Each session will help you to breakdown your projects. Tackle jewellery-making processes step by step. 3. Supportive and Collaborative Atmosphere The workshop is a welcoming and supportive environment encouraging ideas sharing, troubleshooting, and constructive feedback. Stay motivated and inspired. 5. Gain New Skills Each of the three projects introduced will focus on different skills, materials, tools or conceptual challenges, or all the above! These will bring their own unique elements to your work and allow you to expand your repertoire. Grow your confidence as a maker by incorporating new ideas. Who is it for? This is a mixed ability class for learners with little or no experience to advanced makers. Please note that a good level of dexterity and eyesight is required. Over 16s with accompanying adult. What’s included? Copper and basic materials are provided for the initial practice of our three termly projects. Thereafter, a range of basic materials will be available to purchase but students are encouraged to plan and purchase project specific materials separately. All tools and equipment are available for use under supervision. There will also be tea, coffee and biscuits. What shall I bring? Reading glasses if you use them and if you have magnifying glasses, please bring these also. Closed toed shoes are advisable and please tie long hair back and avoid loose flappy clothes.
