SKILL LEVEL: Beginners / Some experience
Silver clay is a fantastic medium for creating silver jewellery, its versatility allows you to create incredibly intricate jewellery with relative ease. Like the name suggests, it's a clay like material that can be shaped just like any other form of clay but when it's fired (with a torch) it becomes solid silver and can even be hallmarked as fine silver (99.9%). Creating beautiful silver jewellery at home has never been easier; with just a few pieces of equipment and tools you can carry on your new found skills.
This 6 week workshop guides you through a variety of processes and techniques that allow you to really get to grips with silver clay. It will take you from a complete beginner to a more advanced maker; able to continue your practice at home. The projects on the course have been specially selected to teach you as much as possible within the 6 week timeframe and enable you to feel confident in the skills you have learnt.
